Thinking about applying for an internship or ready to apply for graduate roles?
Then this is the event for you!
Even though semester has just kicked off, it’s never too early to start actively looking at making new connections in your industry. We all know that time just seems to get away once the semester really gets going, so why not make a start on your career options now.
Next week the Career Ready team are holding the 2019 Careers Showcase for graduate and internship opportunities and it’s a great way to start your search or find out what employers are looking for.
With the showcase split into the two colleges, finding relevant information for your industry has never been easier.
The showcase will run from 11am to 3pm in the Union Hall, Bundoora campus on:
Tuesday 19th March for Business, Commerce, Arts and Social Science students.
Wednesday 20th March for Science, Health, Engineering and Technology students.
With over 55 employers on campus, this will be the place to be.
This four-hour event will provide students with the opportunities to network with employers from a range of different sectors. With representatives from small and medium businesses, government departments, plus private and not for profit organisations there is bound to be something for you.
Employers will also be taking the time, along with careers staff to provide career sessions jam packed with information like: how to address key selection criteria, approaching online applications, interview skills, resilience and a session on the future of work. I have previously attended sessions like these, and they were just what I was looking for. Career staff were happy to answer any questions and followed up with me at the Career Hub later in the week.
As a bonus, Career Ready staff will also be in attendance to help with your CV and LinkedIn profile, along with a free professional photo booth to take profile head–shots for your LinkedIn profile.
With so much to offer register here to secure your place!
(Buses may be arranged for regional students based on the number of regional registrations, please register ahead of time)
