Creativity and Disruption: exciting new subjects for 2020!

With semester starting, you might be looking at the 2020 Subject search, pondering what new subjects are on offer that could light your fire!

Well look no further, because the School of Humanities & Social Sciences has exciting new subjects on offer that might be just the thing you are looking for.

HUS3ICI, Innovation and Creative Intelligence, challenges you to look at creativity as a learned skill. It looks at the creative process and provides students with a set of tools and a way of thinking that can lead to the development of creative solutions for a wide range of problems that the world faces today.

HUS3ICI is open to all third year students or those that have at least 60 credit points of Level 2 subjects.

Explore creativity as a process.

HIT1HIT, Disruption: History of Innovation and Technology, is another new subject that is open to first years, which will explore societal disruption from antiquity to today. This subject focuses on technological developments and their impacts, such as the security implications of the Internet of Things and, ethical and political questions raised by drone warfare, and the impact of social media on identity and relationships.
